What do you love about your job?
I love capturing my client's essence and telling their story. Plus, many of my clients have been with me for years. My wedding clients have turned into my maternity/newborn clients. My newborn clients have turned into my kindergarten graduation clients. I have watched many of my clients children graduate high school and gotten married. I find joy in witnessing the beautiful milestones in my clients lives.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I do various style of shoots; birthdays, graduations, maternity, newborns, mommy and me portraits, engagements, small business branding, etc. However, no matter what type of shoot I am performing, I always try to make sure my client is at ease, comfortable and have fun. It is the little things that counts, like having water and snacks in my studio to having a good music playlist playing in the background. The important part of any session is to ensure my client is comfortable, because their moods (good or bad) will show through in their photos.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was honored to have three of my photos selected for the "Picturing Georgia" exhibit at Atlanta's airport. It is the permanent exhibit on Concourse F to honor the late former Mayor of Atlanta, Maynard Jackson.
I was also awarded best show at the "Beauty of a Woman" exhibit in 2019.
A fun fact about this photographer
I love reupholstering old furniture. Another thing I learned from my father. I am obsessed with TIkTok videos of turning items purchased from the Dollar Tree stores into home decor. The things you can do with plastic platters, glue and paint are amazing.
