Was liebst du an deinem Job?
I love to photograph people in their best moments. Expressions of love and family are everywhere at a wedding, birthday or anniversary. Family photo shoots have lots of love and fun and the kids show so much expression.
It's very satisfying to capture real love and emotion in a photograph that will live on in memories for ever.
It's just priceless!
I also love the challenge of business and corporate shoots.
Here I like to show the friendly humane side to the business or event. It's always there and I love to discover that and bring it out in the final image.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
I love to photograph all types of people so I shoot weddings, events, families and business people.
I was fortunate enough to have a brilliant teacher and mentor from the start. A man who became my best friend and who I still speak to every week.
He taught me the definition of a great photograph is EMOTION!
A great photo should make the viewer feel some type of emotion.
With weddings and family its joy and love, with events its fun and happiness, with business its compassion and trust.
With a Bride and Groom shoot I'll stand back with a long lens out of ear shot and let them talk and kiss and create a loving moment.
With a family I let the parents play games with the kids to create joy and love.
With an event its watching with concentration and an eagle eye for split second candid, fun moments.
With business it's setting and testing camera technical stuff so I can then talk and joke with the people.
When I do this people forget about the camera and show a natural friendly compassionate expression.
Erhaltene Preise, Ehrungen und Anerkennungen
I have never entered for any photography awards.
I believe my customer is the best judge of my photographic ability.
I was the finalist for 4 annual awards with ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Awards)
I did not enter, the votes came independently from my brides.
Wissenswertes über diesen Fotografen
When digital photography first came in my kids were young.
At parties I would tether a digital camera to a massive big screen TV and shoot the kids having fun.
They were so excited to see the image live instantly on a 2 mtr screen.
I would photographed them on skate boards , skimmer boards and surf boards with the dogs too and printed 2 mtr canvas's that I hung all over the house. They thought I was nuts :)
