Was liebst du an deinem Job?
Ever since I got my first camera, I knew I wanted to be a photographer. I worked very hard and against a lot of resistance and obstacles to make it happen. I think with anyone who has fought tooth and nail to make their dreams a reality, its simply true that I love everything about my work. My work is inherently attached to me and who I am. I love the feeling I get from photographing, being on sets, and building relationships with my clients. After 11 years of work, I feel quite happily married to my work and the journey Im on.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
I have shot for 11 years, so this is a really difficult question to answer. Ive done all kinds of shoots. Ive shot Tom Petty for Rolling Stone, product photography for Cracker Barrel, and countless weddings, portraits, and music shoots. One thing I try and bring to the table for every shoot is my dedication to making work that feels unique and thoughtful. I spend a lot of time looking at old photography books and art books, and try to study what made the masters of photography so great. I try and take notes from the work that came before mine and do my best to set the bar high when I work. Im also just a people person, and its important to me to make people feel happy and excited when we work together. One of my goals is for them to walk away feeling refreshed and inspired about the project we work on together.
