Was liebst du an deinem Job?
When I was a kid I spent many hours drawing super hero comics. This was a great way to channel my artistic inclinations and imagination, but it was also a challenge to tell a story from limited single pages or frames. Photography has also been an awesome outlet for my crazy ideas but, just like drawing a comic, it can be a challenge to tell a story and work through the various unforeseen factors surrounding each photo shoot. What does the light look like from this angle? How can I take a photo here but leave out the distractions in the background? How do I work with kids in a family setting that don't want to take photos? Each job is a different challenge, and coming up with solutions and making an idea in my head come to life is extremely rewarding.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
I have done a wide range of photo shoots for my corporate clients including product photography, headshots, and real estate photography but some of my favorite shoots have been family portraits or individual sessions. I love being creative so I always try to bring something unique to the table. One family approached me for a holiday photos and after learning that they wanted to do something with an urban city background, I came up with the idea of doing a "day in the city" photo shoot. We went various locations in downtown Sacramento and I showed their family spending their day shopping, doing a picnic, and attending a museum. What could have been a normal family session became a themed shoot.
