Was liebst du an deinem Job?
I love that my job in photography requires me to slow down sometimes and to really visualize a scene and take in details that are often missed. I feel when I’m behind the camera I’m focused only on what should be in the frame and escape from any worries or misfortunes I may be going through. On the other had, I’m also attracted to the fast-paced spontaneity and problem solving often required to get the shot when time is of the essence and deadlines are in place.
Welche Shootings hast du schon gemacht und wie hast du sie besonders gemacht?
I’ve done professional shoots in portraiture, commercial, and photojournalism. I believe my work in portraiture has brought me closer to understanding how different people react in front of the camera and learning to narrate expectations while maintaining respect with subjects concerns of their image. My commercial work has given me access to restaurants and food I’ve never tasted, as well as interesting culinary personalities. Photojournalism has given me access to places I’d never have without the press pass, such as concerts, sports, courtrooms, and automotive manufacturing plants.

No Pulitzer yet! Not exactly an award, but I was loaned a new F-150 by Ford in 2017 for a week in Los Angeles at the LA Auto Show and was able to drive out to the Joshua Tree desert for a few days while on assignment for Trucks.com.
